Laurie Nitardy, Vice President, Revenue Management & Sales Strategy (Full Bio)
Laurie Nitardy is a natural leader with a record of success in translating her more than 30 years of hospitality industry experience into revenue management techniques and strategies designed to achieve profitable growth for each operation. Developing a passion for the industry and customer service early in her life as an employee for a Connecticut resort, Laurie built a revenue management career that spans a wide range of hotel brands, classifications, and ownership groups.
Among Laurie’s professional strengths is her ability to lead with an eye on market trends and enterprise data. Drawing upon these deep industry insights as well as a competitive spirit, she has earned the reputation as an enterprising growth strategist who takes carefully designed and calculated risks to stretch revenue results beyond previously expected limits. A believer in a “we win together” management philosophy, Laurie is a motivating mentor who builds and develops teams of top performers.
Today, Laurie serves as the Vice President of Revenue Management & Sales Strategy for LeximaS, a management and consulting firm serving the hospitality industry. Recruited to join John Cantele and David Emery at InterCoastal early in 2020, Laurie offers an important brand-side point of view in the firm’s partnership with diverse owners and investors. Her on-property select service expertise has helped clients create alignment between forward-thinking revenue management strategies and functional teams across each property.
In 2012, Laurie was recruited to join Hyatt Hotels. Over the next seven years, she advanced through positions of increasing leadership accountability for the Hyatt House and Hyatt Place brands. As a member of the revenue management leadership team, she played a key role in growing the brand footprint.
Laurie began her trajectory at Hyatt as a Central Revenue Manager. She was then promoted to Corporate Director of Revenue Management. In this role from 2013 to 2016, she assisted in leading the revenue management direction and strategy for both franchise and managed properties while playing a part in the exponential growth of the business. Over these three years, Laurie and her team opened approximately 30 new hotels annually. In 2016, Laurie was promoted to Vice President of Revenue Management for Hyatt’s Select Hotels’ America’s division. Accountable for a portfolio of more than 350 hotels, Laurie confidently navigated an expanded team and property stakeholders through ongoing change, including shifts in product and service strategy. Her in-depth competitive knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement was the foundation for her implementation of new processes and revenue strategies in line with industry best practices.
From 2008 to 2012, Laurie served in revenue management leadership roles for TravelClick, a technology company providing data-driven reservation and booking, guest management, media, and web/video solutions for the hospitality industry. Recruited to leverage her understanding of the industry and TravelClick’s iHotelier product suite, she was promoted in 2011 to Area Director for the central, southeastern, and northeastern regions. The hotel clients within this territory gave Laurie the opportunity to customize tech-enabled revenue optimization strategies for each unique property.
After gaining valuable experience in numerous roles at the Springfield Marriott in Springfield, MA, Laurie joined the Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown, WV. Serving as a Senior Sales Manager from 2004 to 2006, she was promoted into the role of Director of Revenue where she helped guide the revenue-focused team.
Laurie holds a B.S. in restaurant, hotel, and institutional management from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. She is a member of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
